Hiking

There are some beautiful marked hiking trails in the Morvan: the GR 13 and the GR de Pays Tour du Morvan. In addition, with the “Morvan Equestrian Tour” there is a 600 km long trek throughout the nature park.

Water activities

The recreational base of Lac des Settons offers many water sport activities: sailing, water skiing, boating. The wild water is also very popular with rafting enthusiasts, especially the rapids of the Chalaux.

Fishing

The Great Lakes region is appreciated for its rich fish stocks. You can fish for carnivores (walleye, catfish), carp and white fish. It is also possible to fish for trout in a number of rivers.

Remarkable places

The “Saut de Gouloux” is an important tourist attraction in the park: the 10 meter high waterfall is located in the middle of a protected nature reserve. The Beuvray, one of the highest peaks of the Morvan with a height of 821 m, offers a nature reserve that is classified as Natura 2000 (and is also a historic monument). It houses the Bibracte Museum and an archaeological site.
