1. Reservation / Payments
The reservation is valid once we have received an initial payment of 20% of the total amount. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with practical information about your stay. The total balance must be paid 4 weeks before arrival.
For reservations made less than 30 days before the arrival date, 100% of the total amount must be paid.
Please note: We hold an “option” on a holiday booking for a maximum of 14 days, if no payment is made the booking will automatically be cancelled.
2. Accepted methods of payment
Via the booking tool on our website (Credit Cards via Stripe).
Other payment methods on request.
The cost of the transfer is for your account. Transfers from abroad: the cost of all bank transactions is borne by the contracting party (you): please specify with your bank before the transfer.
3. Length of stay
You may arrive between 4pm and 8pm on the day of arrival (exceptions may be made on request) and must leave before 11am on the day of departure.
The minimum stay is 3 nights.
Respecting the arrival and departure times ensures a higher quality of cleaning and maintenance of the accommodation.
4. Cancellations or changes
You must inform us BEFORE your arrival of any cancellations or changes.
If you need to cancel your stay, you should immediately send a written notice to Maison Le Garochet (this can be done by mail at [email protected]).
For cancellations the following rules apply:
More than 4 weeks before the arrival date, 15% of the total amount of your booking will be retained.
Between 2 and 4 weeks before the arrival date, 40% of the total amount of the reservation will be withheld.
Between 7 days and 2 weeks before the arrival date, 60% of the total amount of your reservation will be withheld.
For any cancellation less than 7 days before the arrival date, 100% of the total amount of your reservation will be withheld.
A partial refund may be made if we are able to re-let the accommodation for the dates considered (subject to deduction of our fixed administration charge of 80 Euros).
If the guest does not arrive within 24 hours of the planned date of arrival, the contract shall be dissolved and the total amount paid shall revert to Maison Le Garochet. In this case Maison Le Garochet reserves the right to re-let the accommodation.
If your holiday is cut short for any reason, there will be no refund.
5. Rates
All our rates include all taxes (except tourist tax). Only the rates listed on our website are valid.
Our rates include rental of the accommodation and use of the equipment, all water, electricity and heating, bed linen (beds made), bathroom towels and access to free on-site leisure activities.
Our rates do not include any personal consumptions, activities in the surroundings, the deposit or the tourist tax.
6. Pets
Pets are allowed in our accommodation under the following conditions:
Under no circumstances may the owner use the equipment in the accommodation (bedding, sofa, dishes) for the use of his animal.
The owner must be in possession of all the necessary material for his/her animal.
The vaccinations of the animal must be up to date.
Only 1 animal is permitted per accommodation (except in exceptional circumstances, please contact us).
On the domain, the animal must be kept on a leash at all times. Animals admitted inside must not weigh more than 10 kg.
The owner is responsible for any nuisance caused by his/her animal and accepts full responsibility: noise nuisance, excrement.
If neighbours complain about nuisance caused by your animal, the owner must take the necessary measures to make it stop.
7. Personal belongings and equipment
It is not recommended to leave valuables in the accommodation during your absence. Maison Le Garochet accepts no responsibility in case of theft or damage.
Stolen, damaged, lost or broken items must be reported immediately and paid for.
8. Complaints
In order to avoid any misunderstanding on your departure, we ask you to report any damaged or missing objects in your accommodation within 12 hours of your arrival.
Any complaints about your holiday should be sent within 30 days of your departure by registered letter to the following address

This contract is governed by French law. Any disputes that may arise from this contract (concerning its validity, interpretation, execution or effects) shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts under common law.
