For many years we have been coming to the region and fell in love with it.
In 2019 we moved to Digoin from Brussels and renovated the first gîte, the oldest part of the house, which served as a janitor’s house for many years in the last century.
In 2022 we opened the 2nd gîte, total renovation of the former stable, and built our own swimming pool to offer our guests extra comfort in the hot summers.
Marlot used to be a professional firewoman and has now immersed herself in all kinds of technical matters such as electrics and masonry. She designs and makes her own shoulder bags and backpacks with recycled materials (Elva Bags), and is an avid music lover (she is a drummer herself).
Stijn was a project manager in IT-related projects in small and large companies for many years, and has also worked for Belgian NGO. He is currently immersed in all things garden and kitchen garden, and has trained in woodworking. He also plays guitar and synthesizers in a local band he founded with Marlot as drummer and French companions.
Together, Stijn and Marlot have also founded a concierge service to manage vacation and 2nd homes in the region.
We love the region, its vastness and tranquility, the rhythm of nature that we also respect in each of our activities.
